The Organising Committee were delighted that despite the inclement weather so many of the events were able to take place. They wish to thank all those who came out and got involved in the Festival, all the volunteers and helpers for their spirit and enthusiasm, the Arts Council and Offaly County Council Arts Office for Festival funding, to Guinness, Cavanagh Foundry, Shannon Development and each and every local business sponsor for their generous financial contribution to fuel the Festival, all the Clubs, Societies and Venues who hosted and held events, Birr Town Council, Birr Garda Siochana, Birr Fire Brigade, Civil Defence, Central Fire Station (Tullamore), Order of Malta and the FCA for their assistance and co-operation throughout the week, Birr Chamber of Commerce and Tom Parlon for encouraging financial support of the Festival, Paul Murnagan, Emma Nee Haslam, David Manzor, Ann Quinlan, Birr Active Retirement Group, St. Brendan's Environmental Group, Birr Lions Club and all groups and individuals who helped out both before and during the Festival.
