Lay down your picnic blankets and spread out your own vintage-style picnic. Try your hand at a game of Garden Croquet or Skittles. A fun-filled memory-making day out for all.

LEINSTER REGIMENT

COMMEMORATION

Sunday 7 August | Crinkill Barracks

The Leinster Regiment was formed in 1881 with the amalgamation of the 100th Regiment of Foot and the 109th Regiment of Foot. Following its formation its Home Base became Crinkill Barracks. Following the formation of the Irish Free State, the five “Irish Regiments of the British Army, including the Leinster Regiment, were disbanded in June 1922 and the barracks was handed over to the Irish State.

This ceremony will commemorate these major events.
