Birr Vintage Week & Arts Festival is seeking enthusiastic interns to join the team for the 2026 festival, taking place from July 31st to August 7th.
As an intern, you will be part of a dynamic team contributing to a well-established community and arts festival. This role offers hands-on experience across a variety of areas, including:

Venue setup and event preparation

Pre-festival creative workshops

Promotion and leafleting
-
General event support as required
During the festival week, interns will work on-site at events, assisting with:

Event invigilation

Audience engagement and surveys
-
Workshops and children’s activities
-
Parade and other large community events
This role requires an “all hands-on deck” approach, with flexibility and a willingness to take on a range of tasks.
Requirements:

Availability for occasional evening committee meetings from mid June until the festival

Full availability for the two weeks leading up to the festival and during festival week and to help with take down 20th July- August 10th

Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with the public

Self-motivation and the ability to multitask effectively
Previous interns have found this experience highly valuable for building their CVs and gaining meaningful, memorable experience in the arts and events sector.
Intern Fee: €500
