Birr Vintage Week & Arts Festival is now inviting applications for a Volunteer Manager.

Birr Vintage Week & Arts Festival is looking for someone with the ability to get on well with a wide variety of people, an enthusiastic approach to work and willingness to work flexibly , the ability to work as a team and motivate volunteers and strong interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written communication.

​

• Post: Volunteer Manager

• Start Date: July 1st, 2024

• End Date: August 10th, 2024

• Fee: €2000 ( approx. 15- 20 days)

• Hours approx: 1 day per week, full time for festival

• Will require evening and weekend work during the festival.

• Primarily Birr, Co Offaly based with a blend of remote and in-person engagement.

• Contract for Services

Duties & Responsibilities 

​

• Ensure sufficient numbers of volunteers are available for all events.

• Manage and extend Volunteer database.

• Volunteer induction and orientation.

• Work closely with volunteers, maintaining clear communication and coordination.

• Work closely with the festival team to understand the volunteer needs.

• Ensure volunteers are well looked after.

• Attending some committee meetings will be required in order to build better connections.
