Drop-In Fun & Sensory-Friendly Experiences
Courthouse Yard Activities
Join us every afternoon from 2–5pm in the Courthouse Yard for drop-in activities and games for the whole family, all under a beautiful circus-style tent. Come and play with our giant alphabet building blocks, enjoy traditional cornhole games, see the old shop signs in the Art Wall, or get creative in our making workshops.
Sensory-Friendly Events
This year, we’re excited to offer some lovely experiences for those who may find the festival atmosphere a bit overwhelming.
Flight at the Old Cinema
Step into a calming world of light and sound with Flight, a stunning UV installation featuring animated doves—symbols of peace—spreading their wings and lighting up the dark. Created in collaboration with service users from Longford’s St. Christopher’s Services, and accompanied by a beautiful soundscape by Andy Spierpoint, this immersive experience invites you to pause, look up, and feel at peace.
Sensory Tent in the Courthouse Yard
A quiet, relaxing space for sensory play and gentle exploration—perfect for those in need of a break from the busier parts of the festival.
Sensory Treasure Hunt
Join us on Monday 4th at 11am for our new Sensory Treasure Hunt, designed especially for families with neurodiverse members. This calm and engaging trail begins at the Courthouse Yard and offers a gentle journey of discovery in a supportive environment.
Accessible Viewing Area
An accessible viewing area will be available along the parade route. To reserve a space, please email vintageweekoffice@gmail.com.
